Advancing Precision Cancer Care Through Multidisciplinary Collaboration
November 5, 2027
Advancing the Diagnostic-to-Treatment Continuum in Cancer Care –
Salt Lake City
Salt Lake City will bring together leading voices in oncology, hematology, pathology, molecular diagnostics, and translational science for a multidisciplinary program focused on the advances transforming precision cancer care.
The 2027 program will be chaired by Howard McLeod, PharmD, FASCO, FCCP, an internationally recognized leader in precision medicine, pharmacogenomics, and molecularly guided cancer care. As Director of the Center for Precision Medicine and Functional Genomics at Utah Tech University, Dr. McLeod brings extensive experience spanning clinical pharmacology, genomics, translational research, and the implementation of precision medicine in clinical practice. His expertise reflects the multidisciplinary focus of the conference and its emphasis on translating emerging science into more individualized approaches to cancer care.
The conference will explore how emerging biomarkers, molecular and genomic profiling, evolving disease biology, and novel therapies are changing the way cancer is diagnosed, characterized, monitored, and treated across both solid tumors and hematologic malignancies.
Through expert-led presentations, interactive panel discussions, and clinically relevant education, attendees will examine advances across multiple tumor types while exploring the expanding role of precision diagnostics, biomarker-guided treatment, and molecularly informed care in everyday clinical practice.
Key areas of focus will include targeted therapies, immunotherapy, genomic and molecular testing, liquid biopsy and ctDNA, measurable residual disease (MRD), pharmacogenomics, treatment resistance, emerging diagnostic technologies, and novel therapeutic strategies — with an emphasis on translating rapidly evolving science into meaningful clinical decisions.
By bringing together specialists across diagnosis, molecular characterization, translational research, and treatment, the Salt Lake City conference creates a collaborative environment for examining the full diagnostic-to-treatment continuum and the innovations shaping the future of precision cancer care.
