Advancing Innovation in Cutaneous Oncology Through Collaboration and Discovery – Aurora

Peak Perspectives in Cutaneous Oncology returns to Aurora, Colorado, bringing together leading experts in melanoma, non-melanoma skin cancers, cutaneous oncology, surgery, pathology, immunotherapy, and translational research for a multidisciplinary program focused on the advances shaping the future of skin cancer care.

Presented in partnership with the University of Colorado Anschutz Cancer Center and chaired by Sapna Patel, MD, Director of the Cutaneous Oncology and Cell Therapy for Solid Tumors Programs at the University of Colorado Anschutz Cancer Center, the conference will explore emerging science, evolving treatment strategies, and innovative approaches across the spectrum of cutaneous malignancies.

Through expert-led presentations, case-based education, and multidisciplinary discussion, the program will examine advances in melanoma therapeutics, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, cellular therapy, molecular diagnostics, biomarkers, surgical management, treatment-related toxicities, and rare cutaneous malignancies.

Particular emphasis will be placed on connecting translational discovery with clinical application—examining how advances in tumor biology, molecular characterization, and emerging technologies are influencing treatment selection and individualized patient care.

By bringing together clinicians, pathologists, surgeons, researchers, and other members of the multidisciplinary cancer care team, Peak Perspectives in Cutaneous Oncology creates a collaborative forum for sharing new evidence, challenging current approaches, and advancing innovation across the full continuum of cutaneous cancer care.

  • Apply team-based strategies to optimize care for patients with cutaneous malignancies, integrating perspectives from dermatology, surgery, medical oncology, pathology, radiation oncology, nursing, pharmacy, and translational research to support treatment selection, toxicity management, and care of rare or complex disease subtypes.

  • Evaluate multidisciplinary approaches to the treatment of melanoma across the disease continuum, including primary treatment methods and margins, adjuvant and neoadjuvant therapy, first-line treatment of metastatic melanoma, surgical management of metastatic disease, CNS metastases, uveal melanoma, and emerging cell therapy strategies.
